Soon San Franciscans will have a World-Class Jazz club, Joshi's at San francisco, 1330 Fillmore Street at Eddy. Grand openning, Nov. 28th,2007. The new venue will occupy 28,000 square feet on the ground floor of the Fillmore Heritage Center developed by EmJohnson Interests Inc. Goto Jazz is an important part of American culture and San Francisco is home to many great Jazz musicians. Fans like me are touched deeply by the sound they make. I saw Yoshi dance on the floor and felt like she was flying with the Jazz rhythm. I listen to a Jazz musician playing gospel Jazz tune which was written in civil war period. In 1920s, young Chinese Americans swing dancing and having great time even socially there were not considered as part of American society back then. Now Jazz is a worldwide phenomenon. We hope this meetup group will help new comers to have a chance to experience the beautiful sound of Jazz and let their soul to be touched by the rhythm of Jazz.
