The Tyrone Birkett Group re-interprets the work of gospel pioneer Mahalia Jackson, Jazz iconoclast Charles Mingus along with original selections in the spirit of these great artists. Sounds ranging from gospel shout, Coltraneish excursions, smooth ballads to electric jazz adventures.
