I am creating the East River Jazz Meetup Group as a advocacy group to encourage the increase of jazz culture events in DC's Wards 7 & 8 neighborhood venues where people gather. Libraries, churches, schools and senior residences/service spaces are the ideal places in which to begin organizing events. We invite persons interested in jazz culture, want to discover new information about it, share what they know, organize jazz culture events and encourage others to join our efforts.
